Maryland Westie Rescue
The Maryland Westie Rescue is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2007 to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome purebred West Highland White Terriers (Westies) and Westie mixes. MWR focuses on Westies in Maryland and surrounding states, often using their own resources and volunteers to help dogs in states further away. MWR is not a shelter and has no paid employees.
In our spare time, we volunteer our time and help transport dogs to receive veterinary care and to their new homes. Many of these dogs are in their golden years, which is how we adopted our senior Westie, Dylan! Many of the dogs surrendered to them require extensive veterinary care, so please consider making a monetary donation so they can continue to help provide support and care for one of our favorite breeds.
Luna’s House
Luna’s House is an animal rescue located in Edgewood, MD that supports all animals, from dogs and cats to even exotics like small animals and reptiles. They also provide grooming and boarding services to help support their facility, as well as a food pantry to help families going through financial hardships help care for their animals.
We have supported Luna’s House for many years between volunteering, boarding, and enjoy bringing our dogs for their annual holiday photos! Please consider making either a monetary donation or donating supplies such as cleaning supplies, bedding, and new toys for all of their furry friends!
